The 2009 annual ISC survey shows pupil numbers in ISC schools are again on the up, despite the recession and media speculation that numbers were on the decline. There were 3000 more pupils in ISC schools as compared with 2008 and 1000 more boarders. About 80% of the total were from white ethnic backgrounds. 93% of A-level leavers went on to university and half of all ISC school A-levels were awarded an A grade.
