
Top result in Chemistry Challenge

Thomas Salt from Abingdon School has received an award to acknowledge his outstanding performance, achieving one of the highest marks in a new competition called the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. This was taken by 3000 students in 250 schools across the country in 2011.
Thomas, pictured, was amongst 30 students who achieved the highest marks in the Challenge. All award winners were rewarded with a trophy by Cambridge MP and research scientist, Dr Julian Huppert, at an event in the Houses of Parliament. Speaking about the award Thomas said, "I was very pleased to get the award − I really enjoyed the chemistry camp in Cambridge and the reception at the Houses of Parliament."
